Melissa  Saylor

Melissa Saylor has been drawing and painting since she was a young child. The family story goes, that Melissa's mother put crayons and paper on her highchair tray at 6 months old, and the creativity began. Melissa is a graduate of Oregon College of Art and spent many years working in advertising and as an editorial artist for one of Oregon's largest newspapers, The Statesman Journal.

In 1994 Melissa and her mother Ceal started a greeting card company called, Melissa's Art, Inc. They still sell her delightful cards to this day. Melissa also licenses her artwork for a variety of products including, Outdoor Flags, Wallpaper Borders, Gift Bags, Pillows etc... Quilting is a one of Melissa's favorite pastimes, so designing fabric is definitely a bonus for her. She gets her inspiration for the beautiful Wilamette Valley, were she lives and form the wonderful things that rattle around in her head.

Melissa lives in Albany, Oregon with husband, two children, a dog and two cats.
